5 Days in Albania

Price  305 Euro /person. This packet is arranged for the spring period from March – to June.

ITINERARY

Day I. Arrival at Tirana airport. Starting the tour,by  visit at the antique Greek – Roman amphitheater downtown Durres city. Visit at the fortress town of Kruje and traditional Bazaar. Return to Durres to enjoy the sunset from the other part o fthe Adriatic Sea and dinner at the Hotel.  

Day II. We drive in direction Sudest in the direction of the characteristic town of Berat, more than 2500 years old. Accomodotation in the Hotel. Guided tour in the castle and the museum of the famous orthodox iconograph Zoografos. We walk in the traditional and unique streets of this town that is declared by UNESCO as a protected town part of the world cultural heritage. Dinner at the hotel (of course Bio and intensively tasty).

Day III. Our tour continues in direction south Albania and the first visit of the day is the ancient city of Apollonia. We visit the museum, rich of archeological discoveries, and we walk around this town that over 3.000 years ago was house to nearly 60.000 inhabitants. After this visit we leave behind the inland and head to the beatiful and wild Ionian Sea with our first stop in the coastal city of Vlora. The city where the independence of Albania was proclaimed in 1912 but that after the 90s is unfortunately remembered as starting point for the boats of clandestine to Italy. Dinner at the hotel.

Day IV. We head to the wonderful beaches of south Albania along the Ionian sea coast with never ending seawiev panoramic road. Stops in the mount of Llogara, the beach of Dhermi and Himara. Visit in the castle of Himara. Dinner at the hotel.

Day V. In order to enjoy once again the seawiev panoramic road we return towards the city of Vlora with stops along the road to relax, enjoy traditional food and drinks and take pictures. Return in Tirana at the air port Mother Teresa.
